Setting Up Your Store in CODRocket

After creating your account, the next step is configuring your store. Your store settings define how CODRocket handles orders, manages inventory, processes deliveries, and communicates with your customers. This comprehensive guide covers every configuration option available to you.

CODRocket help center guide - Setting Up Your Store

Accessing Store Settings

From your CODRocket dashboard, navigate to Settings > Store Configuration. The settings are organized into several tabs for easy navigation: General, Branding, Notifications, and Advanced.

General Store Configuration

The General tab contains your core business information:

  • Store Name: This appears on all customer-facing communications, order confirmations, and delivery slips
  • Store URL: If you use CODRocket's built-in landing page builder, this is your custom URL
  • Default Currency: Set your primary currency (MAD, DZD, TND, SAR, AED, EGP, USD, EUR)
  • Default Language: Choose the default language for your store (English, French, or Arabic)
  • Time Zone: Ensure all timestamps, reports, and scheduled actions use the correct time zone
  • Business Address: Your physical business address for invoicing and legal purposes

Branding and Appearance

Customize how your brand appears across the platform:

  • Logo: Upload your business logo (recommended size: 200x200px, PNG or SVG format)
  • Brand Colors: Set your primary and secondary brand colors. These are used on landing pages, email templates, and customer-facing order tracking pages
  • Favicon: Upload a small icon (32x32px) that appears in browser tabs when customers visit your store pages

Notification Preferences

CODRocket can send automated notifications to both you and your customers at various stages of the order lifecycle:

  • New Order Alerts: Receive instant notifications via email or SMS when a new order comes in
  • Order Confirmation: Automatically send order confirmation messages to customers with their order details and estimated delivery date
  • Shipping Updates: Notify customers when their order has been shipped, is out for delivery, or has been delivered
  • Return Notifications: Alert your team when a delivery attempt fails or when a customer refuses an order

Payment and COD Settings

Configure how Cash on Delivery payments are managed:

  • COD Fee: Optionally add a small COD processing fee to each order. This is common practice in many MENA markets to offset cash handling costs
  • Minimum Order Value: Set a minimum order amount for COD purchases to reduce the risk of small fraudulent orders
  • Maximum COD Amount: Define an upper limit for COD orders. High-value orders may require alternative payment methods for security
  • Cash Collection: Configure how and when delivery drivers should remit collected cash

Delivery Zone Configuration

Define your delivery areas and associated costs:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Delivery Zones
  2. Click "Add Zone" to create a new delivery area
  3. Define the zone by city, region, or postal code range
  4. Set the delivery fee for each zone
  5. Set the estimated delivery time (e.g., 1-2 days for local, 3-5 days for remote areas)
  6. Optionally enable free shipping above a certain order amount
